Since August 2017, more than half a million Rohingya people have fled inconceivable violence in their home country of Myanmar.
Fleeing the violence, and walking long distances with little food, water or rest, families are leaving their homes, land, and livelihoods. For many, including very young children, the journey is lonely and terrifying as they travel alone having lost their family during the violence.
As they cross the border into Bangladesh, new challenges await. Refugee camps are over-populated and chaotic with poor sanitation. An overwhelming percentage of those taking refuse in the camps are children – over 50%. And they need our help.
